I had Dave Timm me a Voodoo Arms melonite barrel for a rifle I'm building. I won a few significant AR15 parts on a few Facebook giveaways and had some parts sitting around so I thought I might as well finish it off. I needed a barrel and a couple of other parts. My experience with the Huldra line has made me a believer in melonite. I considered Sionics, significantly cheaper, but they have no track record, and the quality of the melonite process is apparently dependent on good and careful technique so I skipped them.
I had a nice 87 Industries gas block. I had Dave order me the barrel, but those VooDoo barrels don't come with dimpling so I had Dave drill and pin the gas block for me. He did an excellent job. I've had that same work done from both ADCO and Rainier and Dave's job stood out, especially for the complete lack of tool marks and other such scarfing that less careful gunsmiths tend to employ.
Shout out to Dave, excellent service, and service with a smile. You guys need some parts or some gun plumbing...consider Dave. He's pretty much become my one-stop gun dealer/gunsmith/instructor/firearms guru. Kind of an all-purpose gun guy right here in the Brainerd/Baxter area.
